Poppy Playtime Chapter 3: Smiling Critter Plush Coloring Shader

I worked on the recoloring shader setup for the Smiling Critter plush characters in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3, aswell as planning out the modular character mesh setup prior to the modeling stage.

These characters were modeled and textured by Pedro Baltazar! He also worked on the tiling detail POM textures, which were integrated into the final UE material for these characters. Check his stuff out here: https://www.artstation.com/pedrolb

Breakdown of each mesh piece included in the Modular Smiling Critter Character Kit. Doing the characters this way meant we only needed 2 texture sets (fur and hardsurface) to cover all 8 characters. (and only 2 others for the ruined versions)

Fun visual showing all 128 permutations of the smiling critters when interchanging the character mesh, fur material, and clean/ruined versions. This also displays how useful the palette recoloring setup is when you have 8 different character variations.
